Can I change my order?
If you wish to change your order please contact us immediately, as long as the cake hasn’t already been started and you have given us enough notice we should have no problem in accommodating your request. Extra decorations may incur extra charges
When carrying or transporting your cake, please place both hands underneath the cake board to support the cake and the board. Do not pick up by the sides of the box or board - this can cause the cake board to bend and your cake will crack or split.
Tiered cakes travel best in a flat, level position, usually on the floor. Please make sure you have room in your vehicle for pick-up. Most cakes will fit on your floor at the front, larger cakes may need to travel in the boot of your car or in a seat. If you need to place the cake in your seat, we recommend bringing blankets to help level the area. And of course, drive carefully and avoid slamming your brakes.
Please note once the cake has been collected Gluten-free Somerset takes no responsibility for any damage to the cake.
How should I store my cake?
Cakes should be stored in a cool dark place on a flat service.
Never place you cake in a fridge.
Sponge cakes will be at their best for up to 5 days after collecting.
Fruit cakes will last for months, not years. Store using a double layer of greaseproof paper on the inside and foil on the outside (the acid in the fruit can corrode the foil if it comes into direct contact with it and a mould can develop).
Set up fees
We can set your cake up, please ask for a quote as each cake set up is priced on a individual basis due to design, size and delivery site.
If your cake contains non edible materials we will list these on your booking form
